F.A.Q.
Do I have to upgrade?
Nope. Your current Raintree/ALIVE membership stays exactly as is if you don’t add anything. This is entirely optional.
What happens to my Raintree/ALIVE membership if I upgrade?
Nothing changes. Your access, rate, and everything else about your Raintree/ALIVE membership stays the same. You’re only adding access to Whetstone on top of it.
Are Raintree and Whetsone merging?
No. Both businesses remain independently owned and operated. Whetstone is still Whetstone, world-class climbing, same team. Raintree is still Raintree, the best health club experience in the region. This partnership exists to give members more, not to change who runs either place.
When can I actually upgrade?
You can bundle Whetstone access to your membership starting September 1st, 2026. You’ll purchase your upgrade through your home facility, so Raintree/ALIVE members upgrade at Raintree, not at Whetstone.
Is there a way to try it out first?
Yes. During the Open House in August, current active Raintree/ALIVE members get three complimentary visits to Whetstone.
If I’m an ALIVE member, how do I upgrade?
ALIVE members must first upgrade their membership to a full Raintree membership and then bundle Whetstone access on top of that.
Do I need to sign anything or fill out paperwork at Whetstone?
During the Open House in August, please fill out Whetstone’s online waiver prior to visiting.
Can I freeze just the Bundle/access to Whetstone?
No, the upgrade and can only be active or terminated.
Is there a punch-pass or day-pass rate for members who want to try Whetstone without committing to a monthly upgrade, outside of the August open house window?
Yes. Whetstone offers day rates and punch passes. Visit their website to learn more about pricing.

Whetstone has everything you need to be successful in your climb. They offer gear rentals to fit all your climbing needs.
