After relocating from Nebraska to Colorado, I graduated from the Therapeutic Massage program at IBMC in Fort Collins in 2021. Since completing my program, I’ve had the privilege to work with clients across many different populations, fitness levels, and therapeutic goals which has helped shape my practice into one of a very individualistic and customized approach. In addition to other modalities, I gravitate toward applying myofascial release techniques to specific areas of concern as well as addressing the body as a whole. We are, after all, connected from head to toe! I generally work with a medium to firm pressure but always within client comfort and safety – I do not abide by a “no pain, no gain” philosophy. It is my belief that heavy pressure can still be comfortable and quite relaxing, and that lighter work in no way indicates any lack of benefit. Communicating with clients and understanding their specific needs and preferences means that every appointment is different, which is perhaps my favorite part of my job! I especially enjoy assisting clients with: TMJ issues, headaches and neck pain, hip and knee issues, injury rehab, and prenatal massage. My goal as a therapist is to address my clients’ immediate concerns, and work in the long term toward better quality of movement and overall wellbeing.
In my free time I enjoy reading, gardening, spending time with my husband and my dogs, and getting outdoors. Nothing recharges my mind and spirit quite like spending time in the sunshine. Whether it’s hiking, fishing, shooting my bow, or just taking a moment to be still, my happy place is outside! I am looking forward to supporting each of you in your health and wellness journeys.
